Swiss Airlines

Starting in 2016, the first Triple Sevens will replace older A340s on ultra-long distance routes. This marks the first time that Swiss has purchased aircraft from the Seattle-based manufacturer.

In the end of 2011, the outer image of Swiss was slightly modified. The typical Swiss cross on the rudder remained, the four national languages however, were replaced by a unified, larger SWISS emblem on the fuselage.

Following the A320, A330 and A340 already produced, the smallest member of Swiss mainline fleet now complements the fleet in the 1/200 scale.

New production run with a new registration as well as the addition of the sat-dome on the fuselage roof.�

With delivery of the first Triple Seven in 2016, Boeings long-range bestseller took over as the flagship of Swiss’ fleet from the A340 which numbers have been reduced as more 777-300ER were introduced. Two further aircraft were ordered in May 2018 to support the airline’s route expansion plans.

Swiss's first CS300 took off on its maiden commercial flight from Geneva to London-Heathrow on June 1, 2017. The extended version of the CSeries, developed by the Canadian corporation Bombardier, will replace the Swiss airlines's A319s as well as older A320s. �

The first four of 20 ordered CS300s have been delivered to Swiss in 2017. The new CSeries will slowly but steadily replace the A319s and older A320s as more enter the fleet.

HB-IOO is the first A321 in Swiss' fleet to be equipped with the fuel-saving sharklets.
