Operated by Airwork Services Ltd, the unit moved to Yeovilton in 1972 and changed its name to the Fleet Requirements and Air Direction Training Unit (FRADTU). By the middle of 1974, the unit had changed its name again, to the Fleet Requirements and Air Direction Unit (FRADU), and was operating a mixture of Canberra variants, which included T.4s, TT.18s and T.22s, with which it was equipped for the following decade.
