Vautour IIN (Vulture) by Mark Karvon
Item Number: MKNVIIN

The Sud Aviation SO 4050 Vautour II served with the French Air Force and the Isreali Defense Force from the mid 1950’s to the early 1970’s. The name “Vautour” translates to “Vulture” in English but the smooth flowing lines of this bird makes it a real beauty. Vautours served with the Israeli Defense Force during the Six Days War and other conflicts with Syria. The Vautour distinguished itself during these conflicts as more than capable of carrying out the missions asked of it. The airplane was built in three versions; the IIA fighter version, the IIB bomber version and the IIN all weather fighter/bomber version. This beautiful print depicts the latter version in a very striking bare metal scheme, brilliantly gleaming after a passing rain storm.

Mark Karvon images are printed on Epson Somerset Velvet Fine Art Paper using Epson Ultrachrome professional archival inks. Paper is acid free, 100% cotton, archival quality.

Note the images shown may contain a copyright or watermark. This is not present on the actual print.

Prints are signed by the artist and feature an extra 1" border to allow for matting and framing.
