The F-16D Fighting Falcon is a lightweight, compact fighter that can also capably fulfill the air-to-surface role. Its ability has been clearly demonstrated time and time again in such conflicts as the Gulf War (1991), Yugoslavia (1999), Afghanistan (2001) and Iraq (2003). The subject of Dragon Warbirds newest stable mate is a twin-seat Block 30 F-16D, an aircraft that was first introduced into U.S. Air Force service in 1986. This scale aircraft depicts an American F-16D of the 80th Fighter Squadron, which is currently deployed at Kunsan Air Force in the Republic of Korea. This fighter of the �Headhunter� Squadron bears the tail code �WP�, and is part of the 8th Fighter Wing known as �Wolf Pack� based at Kunsan. This FW has 40 F-16 Fighting Falcons ready to defend South Korea and to take the fight north if necessary.
