One of the many U.S. units operating out of England during WWII, the 398th Bombardment Group wrote one of the most impressive chapters of the war. Flying the legendary B-17 Flying Fortress, the courageous pilots and crews attached to the 398th attacked strategic targets throughout Germany and were instrumental to the success of the D-Day invasion in June 1944. This precision model of the �Shady Lady� is the perfect tribute to all the brave Allied airmen of the Second World War. Every detail�from each of the four engines to the bubble turret on top of the fuselage�is re-created in true-to-life accuracy.
