For worldwide special air missions, five C-20B Gulfstream models were operated by the 89th Airlift Wing in the Andrews Air Force Base. The C20B is powered by two Rolls Royce Spey Mark 511-8 engines like the C-20A model. The main difference between the two models is the electrical system and the avionics package. Like the C-20A, the C-20B was chosen to be the substitute aircraft for the C-140B Jetstar in June 1983. The C-20H, Gulfstream_s latest model, was delivered to the Andrews AFB in 1992. In 2002, the C-20A model and two C-20Hs models were transferred to Ramstein.
